What’s New?

Pastoral transition
On Sunday, July 28th Pastor Vince announced he was resigning from his position as the lead pastor of LifeStream. October 27th was Pastor Vince’s last Sunday at LifeStream and he has begun his work as a hospice chaplain at Old Colony Hospital in Massachusetts. Join us as we pray for him and Diane!

What does that mean?
LifeStream has now begun the search for a new lead pastor. Dr. David Bowser (District Superintendent) has been meeting regularly with the church board (led by Mr. Dan Hart, Board Secretary). A profile has begun to be formed that will help guide the church as we seek who it is God is leading to join us as we serve God in Southern Maryland.

Interim Pastor

As we search for a new lead pastor, Dr. Dick Wilson has assumed the regular preaching responsibilities. Dr. Richard (Dick) and Ruth Wilson reside in Westminster, MD.  Dick retired in 2015 after 37 years of full-time ministry.  His assignments included pastorates in Wilmington, DE; Hagerstown, MD; Westminster, MD; Rising Sun, MD (full-time interim) and Ellicott City, MD, Crossroads (interim).
He served as interim pastor here at LifeStream in 2014-2015 between Pastor Steve Merki and Pastor Vince Crouse.  For seven years, he also served as part of the administration at Eastern Nazarene College.  In addition, he has served in leadership on the Mid-Atlantic District for a number of years.  Dick earned his BA from Olivet Nazarene University and his MDiv and DMin from Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Ruth retired in 2016 after 37 years in education.  Her career spanned kindergarten through college and included assignments in both public and private education.  The Wilsons have two young adult children, two grandsons and a granddaughter.

Now what?
The district and local church board are both working and praying very hard as we seek who God is sending to serve and minister at and with LifeStream. We ask everyone to join LifeStream as we pray for guidance and wisdom, as always. Updates will continue to be posted on this page and on the home banner.
